The path towards self-discovery and actualization starts by acknowledging your truths and facing your problems head-on.
I haven’t seen the sun in so long, I only vaguely remember my life beyond my bedroom walls. I can only imagine the road from our front door leading to a dangerous place where the virus continues to spread. I’m a virtual being now, living inside my phone where both the noise and the silence sound louder than ever. Will I ever step outside again and go back to the life I used to have?
I apologize in advance…
I had absolutely no idea what to write about this week so I thought, “Why don’t I write about uncertainty?”. Isn’t that just brilliant and stupid at the same time? You tell me. Haha.
I don’t know how to start this and I have no clue how to carry this piece until the end. You’re all probably as confused of this as I am, but that’s okay. I don’t understand what’s going on in my mind anymore, let alone what’s happening around me.
This is truly a challenging time, the first time in history that the whole world is dealing with a pandemic that has forced countries to lock their people inside their homes. Aside from the deadly virus, the economy is declining, people are losing their jobs, families are starving and we have yet to a possible end or solution to this. The more you see the news every day, the worse things just seem to get. The future is blurry and I don’t want our vision to completely go dark.
There are so many things that are beyond our control. There are questions that we don’t have the answers to yet. The uncertainty, the not knowing is scary because the places our minds can take us can truly be horrifying. While we wait and hope for things to get better, how exactly do we keep calm and ease our anxiety?
How do you deal with this?
There is no clear answer for anything right now so we shouldn’t force our minds to come up with one. The only thing we know for sure is that we should stay at home. At home where we are safe. At home with our family who we want to keep safe.
Every person is different and there is no one definitely remedy to one person’s anxiety. Be productive or absolutely do nothing. Work out or just watch TV while eating your favorite food. Take a bath every day or don’t take a bath for a couple of days. These things only matter depending on the person in question. What’s right for you can be wrong for another person. Some people agree and some people will disagree. So, I don’t know.
Just do what makes you feel sane every single day. That’s the battle some of us are facing inside our homes as our front-liners face the real battle with the virus outside.
But, I will give our some tips as some sort of consolation for those reading this pointless blog…
Breathe. Don’t feel like you’re holding your breath waiting for your life to continue where you left off. Keep your daily routine going and try to minimize your intake of the news. Wash your hands and keep your body healthy. Read books or binge tv shows to forget about our reality for a second. Get off of social media for the majority part of your day, but still try to reach out and talk to your other friends.
We may be isolated from one another but we are all going through a rough patch. Let check in on one another and help each other through this obstacle because this will be overcome. It’s tiring honestly to keep being optimistic, but we have to be strong. We have to live with the uncertainties we have now because we don’t have a choice. Let’s just hang in there okay?
Let’s do what we can and let God do the rest.
Let’s also pray that God helps those families and people who are suffering right now and let’s do whatever we can to help by giving donations and encouraging other people to do so.
I would also like to share this very uplifting from Hazy Wanders about 5 Simple Ways to Help from Home During COVID-19 outbreak. You’ll truly gain a newer perspective into how your small actions can help other people during this tough time.
I’m really sorry guys if I bummed you out with my post. Will make it up to your guys next time!

i suggest.. meron ba sa home mo na kahit small garden or something before the gate? you can walk around or tambay dun for a few hours. thats what I do kasi na susuffucate na din ako sa loob ng bahay and yes i think i have anxiety na at its been days na nga nagkaka shortness of breath na ako di ko nga alam baka covid na to huhu hopefully hindi at hindi naman ako lumalabas and super rate to interact with other people naman usually delivery people. hay. ayun nga so ako me rooftop kasi dito samin at times tumatambay ako dun kahit na wala kasama yung anak ko sa baba, one floor up lang kasi, nagpapahangin ako para maka breathe.

The struggle of isolation is real. When people in urban zones are used to continued stimuli, both from digital and physical means, sudden change of this wreaks havoc on our brains. Really, we have to get up and think on stuff to spend the long hours, produce any productivity beyond our digital gadgets. Keep safe always.

Parang di naman siya pointless blog! 😅 Pero sa totoo lang talaga nakakamiss na yung normal na buhay natin, kakabored din pala yung sa bahay lang. Sana matapos na lahat ito at maging normal na ang lahat.

Read books, start a journal. Write down your fears, worries. It”s liberating. Start asking yourself, how can I be productive? Winkwink

These days I’m suffering to corona fears and corona blues. it’s been almost a month since we decided to do self-isolation since it’s scary outside. You don’t who’s carrying the virus so protect ourselves we’ve been staying home a bit more longer. I became weary when I tried taking a bus when someone pass or sit beside me. Corona blues is killing me too. Super super stressed and depressed na kasi you have many things to do but you can’t dahil sa virus na yan.

First… your blog today IS NOT POINTLESS. Writing / blogging has no bounderies. Your writings makes more powerful when you put genuine emotions just like what you did. So don’t feel sad and low. Chin up. Sending virtual hugs all the way from Melbourne..

We don’t really have a lockdown here in Seoul, even at the height of the pandemic. But I have consciously stayed at home and just walk around near my home. Hang in there.

It is indeed true to feel uncertain by unknown situations like this but you don’t have to apologize. I don’t find your blog post pointless because it is pretty understandable because of our current situation. ☺️

I disagree with you that this is a pointless blog. What you have written, totally makes sense sa nangyayare ngayon, I think what you are feeling is just normal, mahirap naman talaga na magkulong lang sa bahay lalo na kung very outgoing person talaga. Let us just hope for the best!

It’s not pointless at all! I actually realized I should be more patient with my boyfriend – I find it frustrating that he seems not to be productive during this lockdown… but then again we all are dealing differently. So I should cut him some slack. HAHA! No ligo for days, or with ligo everyday – it doesn’t matter. Just breathe and just survive. By the way! Thank you for recommeding my blog post! Glad you found that helpful! 🙂

Uncertainties fill our thoughts especially during this time. When will this pandemic? When can I fulfill my plans? So many things and all of us go through this. The only thing certain is God is in control and everything will get better soon.
What is happening now can be very daunting, so I cant blame you or anyone for feeling the uncertainty. No one even knows when all this will end, or even when will all go back to normal, I even read an article that travelling would be “normal” not until 2023-2024. But we all must hang on and hope for the best, make the most out of this and look at the good things it’s bring to our lives and the world.

No need to apologize dear. We all feel the same, I guess. My blog is full of Press Releases nowadays. 😀 😀 I just hope na matapos na agad lahat to. Leaving this verse with you.

It’s really okay not to be okay. Don’t feel bad for not making most of your time this quarantine period. We are going through a health crisis and an overall traumatic experience, and no one should be invalidated for how they cope with it.
